Bill C-268
protects conscience rights for medical professionals by preventing

employment for medical professionals who conscientiously object to
certain acts.
Bill C-268 amends Section 241.5 (1) of the criminal code to state:
Every person who, for the purpose of compelling a medical practitioner, nurse practitioner, pharmacist or other health care professional to take part, directly or indirectly, in the provision of medical assistance in dying, uses violence or threats of violence, coercion or any other form of intimidation, is guilty
Bill C-268 also amends Section 241.5 (2) of the criminal code to state:
Every person who refuses to employ, or dismisses from their employment, a medical practitioner, nurse practitioner, pharmacist or other health care professional for the reason only that they refuse to take part, directly or indirectly, in the provision of medical assistance in dying is guilty

Who are we anyway to make decisions who should live or die and who is to be the one to kill anyone? We need to stop playing GOD, HE is the only one to decide when we live or die. Remember we all reap what we sow.
ReplyDeleteDoctors swear an oath to do no harm. The medical profession is supposed to heal people, not kill them.
ReplyDeleteI've read that new doctors no longer have to take the "do no harm" oath. I could have read false info. but judging by what's happening I wouldn't be surprised.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to state that the Hippocratic Oath is long gone. Some doctors will take the oath, but it is personal not required. The new oath is not even similar to the old one.

What used to be the Hippocratic oath is now the hypocritical oath, anything goes! It is not about healing and curing, but what is the easiest way out. And God will have His final say in all these cases. It is horrible what tis happening and we should all fight this tooth and nail

ReplyDeleteallow medical professionals to decline participation in abortions?
This bill deals with conscience rights in general, not only as it applies to MAiD.
