My daughter chose this method of dying because she had no hospice care or effective home care. She suffered greatly and refused to take pain meds as she needed to be coherent enough for 10 days to qualify for assisted suicide. It was horrible to count down the days as she would ask me" how many more sleeps mom?" Thanks to God she died on day 7 but in a horrible suffering way without the comfort of pain meds or in a safe loving environment. I am haunted still by the marks on the calendar to show her how many more days before she would be euthanized.
