Canada seems in its arguments to often refer to Jack Kevorkian, as do the MAiD support in the US. What is often overlooked is that Dr Kevorkian was NOT a medical doctor, but a small animal physiologist, who developed his killing machine for euthanizing lab animals.
This should serve as a caveat that we place too much trust in the improper use of vocabulary and altered information that are presented as logical arguments, when in fact they are illogical rumors, and inaccuracies. This is not an issue of political ideology as many MPs and activists claim. It is an issue of the value of human life. Why has life become so cheap that we can be nonchalant about premature termination. I think fear is the greatest issue affecting this. People are afraid of being afraid. Yet, in reality, fear is normal; we all have them. The big issue is then putting on the big-boy and big-girl pants and be adults, and act like adults by living responsibly to the natural end, rather than making a mess of ourselves by suicide under the expectation that someone else will clean up after us. I hate to say it, but if we were to make it factually clear how filthy, or gross it is in cleaning up after a suicide (even if it seems quiet, it rarely is clean physically or psychologically), maybe some people would rather not be so eager. Having witnessed natural death and the closeness a family acquires in helping a loved one arrive naturally to death's door, there is never the regret that I have seen with an assisted or euthanized death. MAiD support refuses to dialogue, because deep down they know they are living a sham. Canada deserves better, but from where and when will it emerge?

Dcn William GallerizzoUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15179727967413723314noreply@blogger.com
