I have been incredibly busy now for almost 2 months.
The Euthanasia Prevention Coalition organized the Second-International Symposium on Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide in the Washington DC area. An incredible amount of time was invested into the organizing and successful outcome of the Symposium. We also organized the strategy meeting that should result in an effective response to the euthanasia lobby in the United States, Canada and Britain.
We have worked with Harold Albrecht MP to work on a motion to encourage the government to ensure that suicide predators are convicted of their crimes. Read Motion 388. This work is in response to the sad case of Nadia Kajouji who is a victim of an internet suicide predator.
I have been able to make many many presentations in the past 6 weeks. When I arrive back into the office on Thursday, June 11, I will have done presentations in Vancouver BC, Fredricton NB, Moncton NB, Edmonton AB, Woodstock ON, Kingston ON, Fort Erie ON, Ottawa ON - several, Burlington ON, Washington DC, and a few that have slipped my mind.
We are also facing a new bill by Francine Lalonde MP to legalize euthanasia and assisted suicide in Canada - Bill C-384. We knew the bill was coming and I have been in Ottawa meeting with concerned individuals forming an effective response to the bill.
I also need to publicly thank my wife, who has held down the fort at home. I do not like being away so often from home. I am committed to my family as my primary vocation and the busyness of work does not fill the void of home life.
Thank you for patiently waiting for the updates.
